** updated on July 27, 2010 **
As we look to new content, new raids, and new challenges Defiant has been formed to provide a framework for each of us to be as successful as we can hope. Success is measured individually. For some, success is merely interaction with as much game content as possible… every quest, every instance, and every zone. For others, success is measured by reaching the pinnacle of efficiency for their favorite class… the perfect hunter shot rotation, the highest sustained DPS on the hardest boss possible, the most healing under difficult circumstances. But for most, success is measured by the feelings we have when we log on each night… we feel accepted within the community. We all play World of Warcraft for different reasons – but we all play to succeed.
To ensure the flexibility of our community framework, Defiant will have a limited number of players. We don’t want anyone to get lost in the crowd; everyone matters and has something to contribute. We want to be sure that everyone has an opportunity to shine – most importantly, we want players to look forward to logging in and participating in the community; we don’t want anyone to dread an uncomfortable encounter with a less-than-favorite guild mate. Should that ever be the case, the Guild Leader has an “open door” philosophy and will do all he can to help resolve the concerns.
As a guild, we encourage excellence – both in overcoming game challenges and maintaining a high level of personal caliber of character. When members of Defiant show up to conquer a dungeon, complete a quest, or engage in any number of endeavors you can expect that we will dominate. With such a fantastic group of members you can also expect a ton of antics and good-hearted fun within the community.
Expect excellence, expect entertainment, expect success – this isn’t a job it’s a game.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Do you raid or run instances? A. Defiantexperiences all the content Warcraft has to offer. As a guild we run all 5/10/25-man instances.
Q. Does Defiant PvP? A. Definitely! As long as PvP remains fun then you will find us bathing in it.
Q. Are there specific days that you raid? A. Defiant raids weekly -- 25-man, 10-man, and heroic 5-man instances. You can bet that any given night will have a raid scheduled. Currently 25-man raids are run on Wednesday and Monday nights.
Q. If I don’t become a member of Defiant does that mean I’m not a welcome member of the community? A. With 6 years of game time in WoW, most of us have a significant network of friends, family, and acquaintances with whom we hope to interact while in the game. Defiant will still use the NewRome channel to maintain ties with those players who aren’t able to wear the guild tag. We expect to be a healthy social component of Doomhammer for quite some time to come. We suspect that most large raid communities will fracture and employ a more streamlined, smaller methodology… however, game friendships transcend guild tag.

| Updated and still the guild's charter. Drama, poor sportsmanship, and contention have no home here!
